30 inches long, about 1 1/8 inch wide.
A very traditional and classic bobbin lace. The stylized design sometimes is called the "monkey" pattern -- the resemblance long lost in abstraction.
An additional pair of twisted threads runs through the edge picots.
A few little breaks along the top, or "foot" side. Otherwise very clean and usable.

 | Detail of Flanders edging The pattern in worked in linen or "whole" stitch, with half-stitch detail. The clothwork design is separated from the five-hole mesh with a "ring pair" or twisted pair of threads.
Lacemakers and collectors could easily make up a collection of just variations of the five-hole mesh, there are so many variations.
