Deep flounce, probably 18th century. Could have been a furnishing lace, to be used as a bed skirt or surrounding a dressing table, or suitable as a Church lace. Lots of interesting filling and background stitches; wonderful flowing design of stylized flowers and leaf fronds. Size: 15 inches deep, 34 inches long.
